Bob Dylan Cover

It's Thursday evening here in Minnesota. The wind was blasting coldness today, but I escaped getting frost-bite for another day. Sometimes I wonder why so many people chose to live here when there are so many beautiful, more milder places to live.  But, here we are. . planted, content, even if we do suffer from mild seasonal affective disorder once (or twice) a year.

As I was contemplating life in the tundra, I heard this classic cover of a Bob Dylan song called "Buckets of Rain." So light, so feel-good that I thought I would share it here. It warmed me up to my toes; hope it helps you feel warm too.

This Song-- Good Good Father

I cannot get this song out of my head. Truth, life-giving, unconditional love from Abba Father.

Sometimes I forget who I am and start to think that I need to accomplish things or have something to show for my life. This song breaks it down for me: I am loved by the Father. That is my identity. Praise God! The burden of achieving of being "successful" in this life are not who I am. If God choses to give me those things, great. If not, I am no less loved, no less valuable to him.
